Herizon Internship Program (HIP) – for Business & IT Students
Solve real-life business and tech challenges with small and medium-sized companies – fully remote and fully in English!
What is Herizon Internship Program?
The Herizon Internship Program (HIP) connects students with Finnish SMEs to work on real-world projects.
Example project topics in 2026:
- Business & Growth track: B2B sales outreach automation, short-form video creation (TikTok/Reels), social media strategies, market entry research, and product roadmaps.
- IT & Software track: Web and mobile development (React, React Native, TypeScript), UI/UX design (Figma), AI/LLM integrations, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and software testing frameworks.
Structure of the programme (Total 400h / 15 ECTS):
- Bootcamp (40h): Flexible, self-paced online bootcamp (approx. 2 weeks) where you demonstrate your skills, motivation, and working life readiness.
- Talent Pool & Matching: After completing the bootcamp, you enter the talent pool where companies offer internships through anonymous matching. Note: Matching takes time and it depends also on your own proactivity (e.g., replying promptly to messages and vibe check invitations from companies).
- Internship at a Company (360h / approx. 10–12 weeks): Work on real company projects with ongoing support from Herizon.
- Commitment: Requires min. 30–40 hours/week (approx. 4–5 full days/week).
- Format: Fully online and unpaid (accredited as a 15 ECTS study module).
Is this program for you?
This program is for Business and IT Bachelor’s students who are looking to complete their mandatory work placement (Work Placement 1 or 2).
You are eligible to apply if you:
- Need to complete Work Placement 1 and/or Work Placement 2
- Have completed at least 120 ECTS credits (GPA 2.5 or higher)
- Are fluent in English and can commit to min. 30–40 hours/week
Matching your study track:
- Work Placement 1 (Basic): Broadly suitable for Business and IT students. Ideal if you are looking for general working life experience and open to versatile roles.
- Work Placement 2 (Professional): Suitable for students specializing in Marketing, Sales, Software Engineering, UI/UX, or Data/AI to deepen their professional expertise.
